Thanks for the reminder, Tim

I've  just bought a second Nexus tablet running under 4.4.3, as the one running 5.1 is not behaving well, but (for a short while only) I'm running them in parallel so I can see how the Lollipoo updates affect SD.

Hope that is alright. It isn't something I'll be doing on a long-term basis

First of all, sorry for this late update (btw, barely in sync with tim answer)

in some way unbeknownst to me, I was able yesterday to login and update my charts,
so my problem is solved;

thank you all
ciao
marco

ps:
tim,
if, for whatever reason, you need my login details for a check, please just let me know

When you log in on a third mobile device (iOS or Android) the first one is logged out again. I know it's a pain, but sadly there are a lot of people out there who want to abuse our system by sharing their login details with their friends. This is why we only allow two mobile devices to be logged into our system under the same account at the same time.

first of all, sorry for the poor manners of my first post: no thanks and no salutations;
at least I said hello all, so may be there is hope in the end;

and as for my "carriage return" problem, a switch from opera to iceweasel took care of that;

My understanding is it's not a limit on the number of simultaneous uses, rather a limit on the number of devices that can be logged in.

So if you start from scratch, log in on device 1, use it and stop, log in on device 2, use it and stop, then when you log in to device 3, it will log device 1 out. The next time you use device 1, you'll have to log in again.

Bit inconvenient (happens to me as I use SD on a number of PCs depending on where I am), but hardly too much effort.

Andy

Andy,
thanks for your answer;

yes, that's exactly how i got it: a login on a new, third, device, force a disconnect on the first one;
unfortunately that's not how it works for me: I'm currently logged in with 2 devices, so not even crossing the limit;
using one of the two just to check the charts update force that error, so it seems to me it's number independent;

hope to have been able to explain myself, despite my bad command of english

thanks again
ciao
marco

The 2 device rule is a pain sometimes - I have two Android phones and two Android tablets and occasionally get myself into this mess. Annoyingly if I was half-Apple, I could do exactly what I want to - but not if I was fully-Apple. I keep meaning to ask Tim to make it four any-devices rather than 2 Apple plus 2 Android but I never quite get round to it.

Until now! ;-)

hello all, I've this problem on my 3 android devices (I know of the 2 devices limits, and they are never used at the same time); It's happening when I try to check the charts: the window open, it try to connect to your servers and then that message show up (and I have obviously tried to log out/in more than a couple of times in the last few days, as you can easily check from your logs) - btw, I've just updated a couple of charts on my xp computer with no faults - so, afaik, it seems a problem limited to android  - last access: xp _ a couple of minutes ago - second last access: android _ 2015/01/07 11.44.25 - sd 3.2.0.28307 planning only - exp 2015/04/15 - various android 4.something NOT upgraded recently - [also, sorry for the poor text formatting, but it seems I'm unable to have what once was called a carriage return Smile]
