No, sorry. That would not effectively block the sharers at all, as the most common sharing scenario is to share with one friend.

Two concurrent mobile devices is a very fair offer. After all, how many hands do you have? You can still have a third backup device because it doesn't actually have to be logged in to our system. After all, if you just use it in the air to navigate yourself somewhere in an emergency, it will have no need for live data.

Ok, Tim. Clear and understood. And sorry to see so many 'illegal' users are around.

I have a similar, but not identical, problem in that I have this problem only with my laptop which I use as my main planning tool.

The laptop is running windoze 8.1 and SkyDemon 3.3.1.0

I get one of two error messages. Both say that the device is not logged in properly, then one of them says that I have logged into a different device whilst the other says that something may have changed on my laptop (this second message is the usual one) and SkyDemon cannot recognise it. In both case I have to 'log out' (hard to understand why, as apparently I'm not logged in), restart SkyDemon and log in. The laptop is the only non mobile device I use SkyDemon on.

For in flight navigation, I run the software on an android mobile device, with my iPhone as a backup device. Very occasionally I will also run it on my iPad. I never have the login issue with the mobile devices, only with the single laptop that I use for planning.

Any ideas please?

Is there something that changes about your laptop? As the message indicates, something must have changed about your laptop such that our server no longer recognises it when it tries to communicate in order to obtain some data from us. Perhaps you use a VPN for networking or something?

Thanks for the response Tim.

No, I don't use a VPN. However I do connect from a variety of places, usually using wifi to connect to the internet but also fairly frequently using my phone, which I tether using a USB cable. Could this be recognised as a change do you think?

No, I wouldn't have thought so. Actually maybe the tethering might trigger it. Should be easy enough to test, anyway.

Is it just me or has this changed... I used to use two android and one iPad devices fine until recently. Now I'm forever getting 'logged out' messages. I haven't flown too much in 8 months though.

I believe it used to be 2 android and 2 ithings included.. Am I wrong Tim?

Some notification of the change would have been nice and the option to maybe have an extended license (for not too much extra) to cover additional devices...

It's a real pain because these are portable devices with relatively short battery lives, I think many folk will have more than two (iPad for planning, galaxy note or similar on a suction mount and iPhone as backup).

It's a shame if people are breaching the license terms and everyone is then suffering :-(

The idea was always to have two mobile devices, as that's a fair number. We didn't enforce the iOS/Android split for a long time though because people tended to be in one camp or the other. Nowadays it's much more common for people to mix iOS and Android so we spell everything out explicitly in the terms and conditions which you agree to upon renewal or purchase of an existing subscription.
