I've done some work with ThePhantom to try to identify the cause of what is happening for him. We have found that disabling the in-flight breadcrumb trail makes the problem go away. Could you try that? Once you're in navigation mode, open the main menu, choose Setup, then you'll see the option.

I also had a problem with my iPad Mini 4 since last season. It was overheating more than it did in the past (previously if did only on very hot days). Also had problems with displaying chart tiles - not loading up seamlessly - like in the other guys descriptions. Also the battery life dropped drastically. I thought it was just a problem with the age of my iPad, just coming to the end of its life, but reading now, that guys have similar problems with newer ones (like mini 7) that I was planning to buy I will wait with that.

Today I had a flight, and the IPad (mini 7)  got so hot, that the screen brightness was automaticly adjusted to the minumum. So Skydemon is useless for me. I send an Email to the Skydemon and request to open a ticket - as I think this is a critical bug ...

What if you created a circular flight, then "flew" it in the SkyDemon simulate mode for an hour, does the problem reproduce then?

Thank you for letting me know. You might want to contact customer support as they may know more than I do about things that are worth trying. I would suggest fiddling with the map settings or chart styles though, to see if that helps.
