Hello,
I came from Android Lenovo Tablet and had good experience (I normaly not use Apple product). But for my "Flight Pad" I ve choosen now an Ipad Moini 7. Expensive Hardware, good quality (with look and feel I am happy), but the battery life ?!? Its really bad !
After some flights: The Pad is getting warm (even its cold outside / and in the plane not very warm!), the rendering of map is slow (switched on coloured terrain and so on). In less than 2 hrs its empty :-( I habe no other apps installed so far ...
With my old Lenovo 5 hrs were no problem.
Can anyone tell me his experiences with battery life of Ipad 7? Maybe something is wrong with my Ipad ... (under settings / battery only skydemon is draining the battery)
BTW: My colleague use the same hardware, with fore flight - and the battery time is twice (we are both using internal GPS)!!

Screen brightness makes the biggest difference to battery usage.

Yes, but the screen brightness got down, because the ipad got hot ... It did it, because skydemon something, that makes the ipad to hot. There is something wrong actually! Again: The terrain map appears slow, and there are no other maps on the ipad. 
As you can see, there are also other customers with the same problem.

Additional info: In simulation mode everything works fine and the Ipad stays cold. Even if all terrain switches are "on" ...

This isn't something that many people are experiencing, or that we have been able to reproduce for ourselves in our offices, unfortunately. That makes it very difficult for us to be able to help. I would love to know what is causing the slowness of processing in SkyDemon, which presumably is also responsible for it using so much CPU.

But what should I do ? Actually I cant trust my Ipad, and I cant use it "productive".
I am using Skydemon now for more than 5 years - I never had such problems ...

Since we have no idea what is going wrong on your iPad, I am unable to offer any advice. Ensure you've told customer support all relevant details, such as whether you can reproduce the problem in simulate mode, or what external GPS/traffic receiver you're using (if any). How quickly you can reproduce the problem by simply taking your tablet for a drive, or testing while stationary, for example.
