Have had a brief email conversation with Tim (thanks Tim for responding on a Friday night!!).

They cannot currently seem to replicate the problem which we are seeing, but they will do some more investigation next week.

In the meantime, he has withdrawn the 2.3.2 download from the website and put version 2.3.0 back up.

Same occurred to me but I un-installed and re-installed (SD 2.3.2 on Win 7 laptop) and it worked ok - just going to try it out in the air!! I assumed it was to do with not properly un-installing the previous version???

Same here - I used Windows uninstall and then re-installed. Now all ok.

Many thanks for the help in this forum though :-)

If you do a full uninstall from from the control panel (I think I used the app uninstall previously), does the uninstall delete all your previous flight logs and route data or does it just uninstall the app and leave your data in place?

Don't particularly want to lose my data.

Cheers,

Dom

Me too - uninstall first and re-install fixed it.

does the uninstall delete all your previous flight logs and route data or does it just uninstall the app and leave your data in place

All routes, data etc are retained.

A possible solution which worked for me!
I am a BT internet user and use McAfee Net Protect Plus.
I, like it seems, many others found that the upgrade to 2.3.2 crashed and didn't work at all after the upgrade.
I tried using Google Chrome Internet browser and that didn't work either.
On a whim, not sure why, I looked at McAfee Firewall, I do not know why but both Chrome and Skydemon only had outgoing access, I changed both to Full access , low and behold, everything worked!
Happy landings Smile

OK now that I've finished flying for the day and had a chance to play, I can confirm that if you uninstall your previous version of SkyDemon using the Windows Control Panel and Add and Remove Programs and then re-install Version 2.3.2, then it will work.

During the uninstall, you will not lose any of your previous data.

If you use the automatic update with version 2.3.2 and get an error, then using the 'application' repair or remove option by running the install MSI again will NOT fix the problem. You need to do a complete uninstall from the Windows Control Panel.

Thanks to Tim and everyone else in this forum for their help. Hopefully Tim will get to the bottom of why the automatic update is failing on some Windows devices.

Dom.
