Just to confim, you are going into GPS Navigation Options to set the port and baud rate, and not the Device Connectivity Options menu?

Thanks but in the mean time, I have done the following :
-uninstall all concerned components
-update Windows Mobile Device Center
-complete stop and restart computer
-install Simconnect
-reinstall HW Virtual and set up com3 on port 8192
-reinstall Fsx2NW with matching settings
-reinstall Skydemon and set for Skydemon mobile device options
But no change in the result, sorry
Don't worry, be happy.

pfiquet, Check all your settings again, specially "Fsx2NMEA settings", & "HW Virtual Serial Port HW-VSP3." The settings must match. The port number must be the same, I use "8192" as suggested by Colin. In fact, use his exact settings if possible, makes life easier.
Here is a screen picture, I am connecting thru port 23 com3 My setup also tried to use port 23 & had to be changed to 8192. Regards, Max.

SD cannot work out your speed or heading if you're stationary - have you tried actually flying the sim?

Hello there, I just found about Skydemon two days ago on my favorites air stuffs forum www.pilotes-prives.fr. I don't fly myself but on FSX and therefore, I search for the possibilities to use both together, and thanks to Colin's wonderful work, here I am. It took me some trials to understand how the interfaces played and now, it seems that my setup is correct, except that in GPS mode,I don't get the flight parameters on the SD map. Went in the setup mode, tried each one of the three devices options, no changes. What did I miss. Here is a screen picture, I am connecting thru port 23 com3
Don't worry, be happy.

No problem Max. Glad it worked. Let me know if you encounter any problems with it. Incidentally, in FSX Settings/General, there is an option to Pause on Task Switch. If you uncheck it, FSX will keep running when you move to Skydemon. All the best Colin

col-lucy, Wow, just had a very quick "play" & everything works just as you said it would. Made a slip up initially as the port No.reverted to "23" Deleted the port & created again as port No. "8192". Lo & behold, there was SkyDemon showing a Cessna 172 being flown on FSX. Will have more time to experiment during the week, & want to figure out a way to stop FSX pausing every time I adjust SkyDemon So many thanks Colin, & I'm sure others will also want to give this a try. Regards, Max.

Hi Max, I have posted the program installer here https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=062a857fb93775aa#!/?cid=062a857fb93775aa&sc=documents&uc=2&id=62A857FB93775AA%211701 and also a document with notes. I recommend you read the document first, because you will need another bit of software too. You are the first aside from me to try this, so let me know how you get on! Colin

col-lucy, This could be of interest to many. If you care to give or upload the details, I would certainly like to try it out. Recently reloaded FSX & missed SkyDemon's charts. Surprising how soon you get used to things. Regards, Max
