Are you thinking the parameter for option 3 would be overall (ie would apply to every such turning point) or specified for each turning point?

If the latter, then option 3 provides for all eventualities. If the former then I would suggest option 2 (can as required set up a dummy point just to flag) as quite possible within a route wanting to specify more than one with differing notice periods.

Sorry, I should have specified. I had envisaged you would set the "advance notice" in the same place you set the reminder, so it would be per turning point.

I personally like option #3 as it gives enough (and flexible) time to adapt to the notification (I'd use it primarily as a reminder of the next frequency and/or TMZ code, as they are quite complex around Milan and northern Italy). I know this information is available in the Radio tab, but the advantage of not having to look it up in flight, maybe when flying in the mountains, is invaluable IMHO.
