Think I've spotted a bug in the AR6201 interface. Some airports around here have ATIS on NAV frequencies, not COM. If I send that frequency to the radio without realising it was not a valid COM frequency, Skydemon crashes and I have to restart it. No error messages, just goes back to the iPad desktop. Reopen Skydemon and everything working again from the point it dropped out. Looks like a check is needed to only send valid frequencies to the radio?

Can you give me an example of a frequency that results in a crash?

Hello Tim,
I did ask for a Vnav protocol. Then the autopilot can also fly to requested height. Is that possible?
With kind regards and keep up the good work Freerk

+xCan you give me an example of a frequency that results in a crash? I tried 115.100 and I think 109.200
It only crashes when the iPad is connected to the radio. If I am just in simulate at home, it does not crash.

Thanks. Looks like we have already implemented protection against that in the forthcoming 4.1 release.

@Michael: The experience with the KRT 2 SD-Link (quality, installation effort, documentation and also pricing) was so great, that I would definitely also buy your AV-30 Adapter as soon as it is available. Do you think it might be possible to use it on top of the AV-Link Wifi-Adapter, which receives our GDL90 Traffic Data Stream? I think AV Link uses a different Pin to transfer the traffic data to the AV-30!? I did not expect, the all this might be available :-) Happy Easter, Stephan Stephan, the wait is over. The SD-Link AV-30 adapter is now available. This will turn your uAvionix AV-30 into an HSI displaying the planned SkyDemon legs. The existing AV-Link for the traffic display will continue to function ;-)
It's a simple "plug and play adapter", just plug it in and enjoy the new features.
Here is more information:
Cheers! Michael

Hi Michael,
this looks amazing!!!
I just ordered ;-) If I use it together with the Wifi AV-Link, is it better to have your adapter connected directly to the AV-30 or is it also possible to have it behind the AV-Link?
I will post my experience as soon as we have it installed.
Thank you for your great work in advance, Stephan

Thank you for your great work in advance, Stephan Stephan, I would prefer this arrangement. Electrically, the order doesn't matter, but mechanically it provides a bit more stability.
You need more space behind the panel for both adapters - about 50 mm.
If this is a problem, we could also design an angle adapter that saves space and fits tightly against the back wall. I welcome opinions, suggestions, ideas and criticisms.
But let’s first gain some experience with this design.
Cheers! Michael

Thank you for the quick response and great support! We will try it out and will come back with our experience :-)

There's news:
The SkyDemon to Becker AR620X adapter no longer requires an additional power supply. Simple plug-and-play like the other SD-Link adapters... for ATR833, KRT2, TY91/92 and AV-30.
If you own a Becker AR6201, AR6203, or RT6201 radio and want to easily tune the frequencies from the map, you no longer need to solder — just plug it in.
Cheers! Michael Hoffmann
