Under Setup/Change Units, you can change the units of Position between:
- Degrees Minutes Seconds
- Degrees Minutes
- Degrees
I wish to use the standard format of degrees with decimalised minutes (example N 51°35.30') however if choosing "Degrees Minutes" it still shows seconds in the waypoint details.
How can you enter this correctly?‌‌

There is some confusion in this topic. The title suggests a format for waypoint entry; SkyDemon doesn't care what format you enter coordinates in, it can cope with all common formats. The unit configuration is only for controlling how SkyDemon formats coordinates when it is displaying them.

You can choose a GPS format in SkyDemon and once a location is "in the system" yes, SkyDemon gives you whatever you want.

However, SkyDemon's waypoint input screen only accepts the format of "Nddmmss Wdddmmss"

So for example the following location (same spot):

N 50 50.017 W 000 17.471                Degree,Minutes (decimal minutes) format

N 50 50 1.0, W 000 17 28.3               Degree,Minutes, Seconds format

You can take the "Degree, Minutes, Seconds" example and take out the spaces and use it directly.  However, you have the first convert the "Decimal Minutes" before entering it into SkyDemon.

I use https://www.gpscoordinates.eu/convert-gps-coordinates.php, but wish I could just enter "decimal minutes" in SkyDemon as that is the format I use on everything.

Is this possible?

Yes, SkyDemon accepts that format just fine and always has done. You need to stop trying to punctuate what you're entering with spaces, though, and use the correct number of digits.

Thanks, that works.  I've been deleting the spaces, but keeping too closely to the format noted in the input window of "

NddmmssWdddmmss".  I now see if I put a decimal point after the minutes it works just the same.

So entering either N503429 W0011751 or N5034.497 W00117.862 gets you the same waypoint location.
