The sync problems I think are usual windows gremlins. Sometimes I can't sync to the sd card whether its in or out of the device, & end up copying files manually. Other times sync works fine!?

do you click on it twice? I think this has something todo with browser cache and I noticed the same occationally on a few systems within our company..however as a rare occation.

On a slightly different topic, I don't understand why I keep getting double posts, and why its impossible to delete one of them? It seems to happen when I post using my Blackberry!

You need the dem files, but I can't understand why this is a problem. If you use the mobile installer, all necessary files are installed and everything is set up automatically. It's all in the documentation.

OK, I'm part way there. Because it was a fresh install, it no longer knew which com port to use. And because it didn't know where it was in the world, it didn't know to load the chart.



However, what about these .dem files? Is the terrain now supposed to be in the skydata or not?

I did a fresh install onto a different SDcard plus a sync, now when I boot the device I get 'no charts installed'. But I can see the skydata file on the card when I plug it into the card reader! What about the .dem files, are these still required?

The chart format hasn't changed for a long time.
