Annoyingly, I still can't replicate this. It might be because we've actually changed the way airfield display options work in the forthcoming release, though it's hard to say why those options would affect this. It's frustrating that this is a low memory problem and apparently not a crash.

At the moment I can't think of anything further to suggest except to see if it still happens in the next version, which has had quite a lot of changes. If it does, we will need to try again to replicate it here.

Thanks, we'll have a go at reproducing this ourselves. It might be a corrupted plate or something similar.

I can replicate Roland's problem. As soon as I open EDML's georeferenced appch chart, my SD crashes a few seconds later.
iPad Air with current iOS and SD version here.

I have a IPad 3.
Memory cannot be the problem, because the crash also occurs with all other apps stopped (doubleclick home, shifting all apps out of the display except the desctop, which cannot be stopped). On the other hand I can solve the problem simply by changing the settings for the display of the aerodromes as explained in my post even with 20 apps running.
The effect can be repeated with 100% probability, just the settings need to be changed. No problem to change between a perfect SD and a SD crashing as soon the EDML georeferenced chart is activated on the map. I checked it again just a minute before, still same situation.

If you're seeing a LowMemory file produced, it means SkyDemon is not crashing but is being terminated by iOS for needing more memory than your device has available. This may be due to a large or problematic PDF, or the fact you have many other apps open at the same time, or that you are using a much older iPad without much memory available. Which model of iPad are you using, please?

I have a similar problem with a quitting SD. After playing around some time now I am able to replicate it. Please excuse wrong menu names, as I have to translate it back from the German version.
Here the complete story:
IOS 7.05, IPad 3, SD 3.0.5
As soon as I activated the georeferenced approach chart of Landshut (EDML), SD zoomed in, takes some seconds trying to refresh the area around the approach chart and finally quits SD. Failure log is named "Low Memory ...", failure logs already sent by email to SD. This effect can be replicated, but only with EDML, all other airports I tried work properly. The effect occurs in navigation mode (extremely annoying) and planning mode.

This effect seems to depend on the map settings for display of aerodromes:
Show Aerodromes on, Gliding on, Non-ICAO on, all others off => effect yes
Show aerodromes on, Non-ICAO on, all others off => no effect

I do not know exactly, what is meant by "Non-ICAO". Landshut has an ICAO identifier and has glider activity.

No idea, if this effect only occurs with my IPad, but at least the description may help to find the bug. I guess the title of the failure log only indicates a result of the error, but not the root cause.

Eric, I asked our support if they'd received the files and they said they hadn't; they'd only received the contents pasted into an email. If you could please attach the crash report files to an email instead, then we can use them.

I managed to fix the crash by do not recovering the settings from the cloud. After setting all settings exactly the same way I had it before without loading from the cloud everything works fine now. Maybe there is some error in the settings here.

The latest version (v3.05) of SkyDemon doesn't even start on my iDevices, it crashes after 1-2 seconds.
I'm using an iPhone 5 and an iPad Mini Retina.
I also tried to restart the devices and I tried to delete and reinstall, but without success.
I finally reinstalled version 3.03, which was still available on my Mac via iTunes. This version is running normally.

I've sent the crash reports by email today.
