+xI have seen this request made multiple times already, and each time the response is "this is not an often requested feature", so I am not sure what you consider "often requested". Especially considering the responses here I would say there is definitely an interest. I'd say there is a real interest and a NEED in that request . Please, Tim, don't let us down .

This feature would be so important here in Germany, where there is no free AIP VFR. I find it absolutely unfortunate that I pay for the AIP and then I should pay for the charts in Skydemon again. well, you could have it in SkyDemon only

Unless if by getting the VFR AIP in SkyDemon we also have access to all the other parts of an AIP (GEN, ENR, AIC and SUP).

Can it even be a valid AIP according to international rules and laws not being accessible for everybody?
For the custom charts I understand the software mechanics is already in place, Skydemon would only have to assign a custom PlateID range, which they so far refuse to do - correct?

It's not only the German VFR AIP which not available for free, but here I have no idea about the legality of it. I know I have access to it via my club membership and that's good enough for me.

I have no experience with the German setup though, but for Switzerland the AIP is available in SkyDemon for free and the (whole, not only airport plates!) SkyGuide VFR manual as an additional subscription. I guess that's the case for Germany as well: AIP for free, DFS charts for a fee. Isn't that how it works?

It will also be a great idea to add custom comments section for existing objects on a map. For example, to define what frequency is in use at an aerodrome at a particular time or direction of flight (because in SD there are duplicate frequencies like RADAR 1, RADAR 2, without further explanations compared to AIP, like you should contact at least 20NM out), describing a navaid functionality (min/max working altitude) or just whatever you deem appropriate to include.
I think it's not overly complicated to implement this, but it adds a lot of flexibility to have your own notes without creating additional objects on a map and make it more messy.

Another good thing in addition to that would be a gps-location based reminder (w/ altitude). Just like the current airspace warnings, but it would show your message instead.
