Are you saying that it's only a question of "smoother display" (moving map etc) on IOS or in general that the whole user experience is much better on IOS?

We always recommend iOS, if you can afford it. The SkyDemon features are the same on both but iOS gives a much smoother experience. I don't think recent iPads suffer from the overheating problem that older ones did.

Both platforms have their aficionados, and as far as I am aware, both platforms are equal in terms of features, although there are slight differences in the way that some of the features are implemented. Android devices generally seem to have brighter displays and some users report that their iOS devices overheat, and as you have already observed, iOS devices are far more costly than Android devices. It comes down to personal preference in the end. I know SD users who wouldn't give iOS the time of day, and there are others wouldn't entertain anything else! Personally, I've been very happy with my Android devices (I also have SD installed on my HTC One phone).

Hi guys, is the software as good on IPAD as on Android? All updates are equal?  feature wise too?
I'm willing to buy an ASUS ZENPAD 580 (twice cheaper than an ipad mini), but want to ensure that I won't loose anything against the IPAD version.
