could be an explanation but it would be strange if the condition then switches to IMC as - at least to me - it is a legal term more that a personal setting. At least in my case the settings could not be responsible for that IMC icon - I just check my personal settings.

Don't forget that you can also set your own VFR minima in Planning Options, and I'm not sure, but I think it's these user defined minima that SD uses to decide whether or not a particular airfield is VMC or IMC.

Right now the icon in the chart still states IMC for EDDL, here goes the METAR:
EDDL 061250Z 03008KT 350V070 9999 VCSH FEW030 SCT 040CB 27/17 Q1020 NOSIG

It must be due to that specific kind of clouds (CB). @Tim: Am i right?

mmh. not quite sure about that. My previous posting referred to the METAR issued at 1120Z and there was nothing about SCT040 but FEW030. Anyway: Why should SCT (aka 3/8-4/8) shoud justify IMC reports?
It might be related to the kind of clouds - here CB, as the original TAF (see previous Screenshots) mentioned SCT030 and ist marked as VMC. The METAR mentioned the same ceiling but with CB.

Looking at the forecast:
EDDL 061220Z 34008KT 300V020 9999 VCSH FEW030 SCT040CB 26/17 Q1019 TEMPO TSRA

then SCT040CB and TSRA makes it look like IFR is possibke to me even if TEMPO!

Hi there,

today I encountered that the METAR forecast seems to be wrong interpreted in terms of IMC via VMC. See attached screenshot that shows deviation between skydemon and aeroweather whereas aeroweather seems to be correct.

METAR states few in 3000ft at EDDL which is IMC for skydemon but VMC for aeroweather (and myself).
