Group: Forum Members Posts: 31, Visits: 129	I experience often a lack of quality for aerodrome info data. And lots of posts in this forum prove this statement from my point of view. So often there is no even an information about the runway length or the kind of surface of a runway. Also tower telephone numbers, opening times, fuel availability and so one are missing (but available in the AIP and charts available to buy in SD). Is there an chance to get more accurate data into SD? What data source do you use? If it's an open data source I'm sure that there are plenty of persons which would be happy to be able transforming at least the current state of airport information from the AIP's into the data source. This could be a first improvement. I know that you prefer digital data and copying information from paper/charts like the german AIP is not a "efficient" way to go. On the other hand there lots of people bought the national AIP with all the valid information. I can understand that they (and me too!) expect to have this data available in the chart data, too. This would be a chance to make SD even more perfect. The Poor data quality of aerodrome information is the only really bad point about SD. Nevertheless SD is for me the one and only APP in the cockpit. Group: Forum Members Posts: 8.2K, Visits: 9.7K	I have never heard of that happening to anybody. Please reboot and try again. SkyDemon does not delete maps unless you tell it to. Also, please use the SkyDemon (1 or 2) chart style if you want to get the most from SkyDemon. You miss a LOT of features by mimicking static paper charts.

Group: Forum Members Posts: 11, Visits: 90	Hi, ok i'll try the other styles on my next flight in well known terrain ;-) Regarding the US maps: That happens on both of my PCs at home (Windows 7.1 Pro) and at work (Windows 8.1 Pro) and i can reproduce it every time: - Open up SkyDemon Plan - Hit the "Charts" button on the top - Select Map Style DFS - Check "USA (Basemap)" - Check all Maps below "USA (Basemap)" like "USA (ID-MT-OR-WA-WY)" for example. - Hit "Apply Changes" and wait until download is finished. - Hit "Charts" button again - Select Map Style US FAA - Select "Apply Changes" - All data but the "USA (Basemap)" is gone now - Select "Charts" again, nothing but the basemap is installed. As it happens on both of my pc's i doubt it's an error related to my pc's? It happens also the other way around (changing from US FAA to DFS). It's only happening for the US data, it's not happening for other countries i tried so far (germany, poland, denmark...). Kind regards Jan
