Otherwise how to I get the .DEM file in there, or more to the point - how else to I download it? Maybe I need to RTFM? Group: Moderators Posts: 593, Visits: 4.9K	There is something amiss - I've just deleted my terrain file and reloaded it without a problem. Are you in an office behind a proxy server? What version of Windows? Are you running any kind of anti-virus / firewall that invasively scans network traffic?

I am behind a proxy at the moment, but I tried it at home last night with no (local) proxy and still have the same problem, so I don't think this is a network issue. Also, if there was a proxy issue it wouldn't have been able to download the airdata, no? running windows 7 64-bit. Have sophos anti-virus protection in the background. Group: Moderators Posts: 593, Visits: 4.9K	Very odd that you had the same problem at work and home. I would have put money on it being a proxy issue. Sophos is well behaved, so I doubt it's anything to do with that... I'm on 64-bit Win 7 and have never had a problem, so I think the base OS can be ruled out. I'm struggling to think of anything else to suggest at the moment other than maybe to try it again when you get home tonight.

Group: Forum Members Posts: 8.1K, Visits: 9.3K	We once saw somebody unable to download terrain files because of an antivirus program which didn't like the .GZ extension of those files. Unlike air data or any of the live data that arrives through SkyDemon, the terrain files are simply publicly available files (albeit hosted on our server) which are downloaded just like any other. My money would be on an antivirus or antispyware software too.
