Once you have fully closed and re-opened the app, you may not see the new waypoints in the list of user waypoints, but you should be able to search for them using the "find" function.

If you cannot, please feel free to send me a direct message, and you can send me the file in question by email so that I can see if there is a problem.

Hi Tim,

I'll send you the waypoints file.

I've followed all instructions etc. and tried everything else I can think of but nothing shows apart from waypoints created on the iPad.

Rgds,

The only requirements to the waypoint loading are that the *.waypoints.gpx file(s) is in the SkyDemon Documents directory, and that the SkyDemon app is then restarted. This has been tested and verified with the latest 2.4.1 version. If you still can't get it workng feel free to send us the waypoints file in question so we can make sure it's valid.

Hi Tim,
Yes i did that too. In fact I did a 'cold restart' of the iPad. Curiously the export/import worked prior to the recent SD version change.

regards.

It sounds like the required step of terminating and restarting the SkyDemon app may not have been followed.

HI,

I have exactly the same problem!

OK, after further digging around I have found the following: Importing way points from SD for PC to iPad works but is rather quirky in what you/I might expect. First off the imported way points do not appear on the iPad under
'Setup-->Waypoints'. To appear here the way points must be created on the iPad!! The imported waypoints are however on the chart and can be located by doing a 'Find' etc. The imported way points cannot be edited and can only be deleted by removing the associated file in the iTunes File Share window.

Emailing the gpx file across to my iPad and although given the option to 'open with Skydemon' it fails to import.

If you want the way points to appear in the Setup --> Waypoints list, this is a work round.
Created a route on SD for PC **using all the way points you wish to import to iPad** and move the *.flightplan file to the iPad using iTunes File Share. Opened the route on the iPad and by touching each turning point selected the option to create a new way point. The dialog is pre-populated with the lat/long, you just need to give it a name/category etc.

Hope this helps.

Trying to import my user waypoints from SD on my PC using the correctly named waypoint gpx file into the iPad SD documents folder but nothing shows up on the iPad. If I create an iPad user waypoint then that's fine and can be viewed, edited etc. but none of the imported user waypoints show.

???
