We've seen this a couple of times ourselves but haven't so far been able to reproduce it reliably. It's certainly a bug, but a rare(ish) one.

I've only just got my iPad 3 and loaded SD onto it today. The same thing happened to me. As an Apple newbie I had to find out about stopping and starting apps (useful knowledge!). Restarting SD brought back the virtual radar. Suspect there must be a bug lurking in there somewhere. The voyage of discovery continues...

Have created several routes and always had the virtual radar display. This evening I logon and import a route via email and thee is no virtual radar display? I opened all my old routes and there is no virtual radar display? Athe VR display is blank and blue. There maybe a very compressed display in the top let hand corner??? I do get the MSG VR is being updated when making a change to a route but then the display reverts to blank and blue. Help please .....


OK used apple troubleshooting and stopped / started the app - now working fine again!
