Unfortunately mouse wheel does not work on Android-SkyDemon (while drag & drop by mouse works).

This means there is not possibility to use a stick remote control for operating SkyDemon like it is possible for XCSoar and all the others.

And also keyboard shortcuts do not work in Android SkyDemon being rational for stick remote control to work.

How can I file this topic to somebody of SkyDemon?

What is the normal way to contact them? Just here by the forum or sending them an email?

SkyDemon has a very effective help desk. Details are on the website.

How many Android tablets do you think have either a keyboard or a mouse wheel? I've never even seen one, and we certainly don't have one in the office. It's not something we have ever (until now) experienced a request from a customer for.

Thanks Tim. You are completely right nobody uses a keyboard in an aircraft for SkyDemon.

Nevertheless keyboard shortcuts are very important in small aircraft when using tools like SkyDemon because when shortcuts are implemented like in e.g. XCSoar you can use stick remote control SkyDemon because the buttons on the top of the stick are nothing else than a keyboard (but only with 5 buttons). And nobody would disagree that controlling a navigation app by the buttons of a stick is much better than by touch on the navigation screen.

As it is so easy to make shortcuts work in an Android-App my question is if SkyDemon can implement Shortcuts. Neither more nor less.

Is that in your eyes an understandable explanation for this feature request?

Yes, absolutely. And as with all suggestions made on here, hopefully others will weigh in with their opinion on how important this feature is to them.

From you, I would appreciate some guidance as to what hardware is commonly used for this in aircraft. If we ever implement keyboard shortcuts as you suggest, we will need to obtain the hardware to develop and test it.

Thanks Tim, that sounds great.
I know about 4-5 Sticks on the market. E.g.:
https://www.xcnav.de/product-page/xcremote

In reality it is nothing else than a keyboard but with only 6 buttons instead of a normal keyboard with ~100 buttons connected by bluetooth or USB to your moving map device.

The buttons of the stick can be assigned by an app of the stick to any letter, number or special character.

So, for you it is only necessary to assign functions of SkyDemon to shortcuts (any letter, number or special character you think is fine or just do it exactly as you did it in 'SkyDemon for Windows' which contains already very good shortcuts 👍). To test it you can just add a normal cheap keyboard to an android device (e.g. by bluetooth).

Would be great if you could transfer this feature from the windows-version to the android version (including the mouse functions for Scrolling and Zooming) 👍

BTW: Thanks so much for your great product.
