+xYes, absolutely. And as with all suggestions made on here, hopefully others will weigh in with their opinion on how important this feature is to them.
From you, I would appreciate some guidance as to what hardware is commonly used for this in aircraft. If we ever implement keyboard shortcuts as you suggest, we will need to obtain the hardware to develop and test it.
Thanks Tim, that sounds great.
I know about 4-5 Sticks on the market. E.g.:
https://www.xcnav.de/product-page/xcremoteIn reality it is nothing else than a keyboard but with only 6 buttons instead of a normal keyboard with ~100 buttons connected by bluetooth or USB to your moving map device.
The buttons of the stick can be assigned by an app of the stick to any letter, number or special character.
So, for you it is only necessary to assign functions of SkyDemon to shortcuts (any letter, number or special character you think is fine or just do it exactly as you did it in 'SkyDemon for Windows' which contains already very good shortcuts ๐). To test it you can just add a normal cheap keyboard to an android device (e.g. by bluetooth).
Would be great if you could transfer this feature from the windows-version to the android version (including the mouse functions for Scrolling and Zooming) ๐
BTW: Thanks so much for your great product.
