Has anyone had experience of installing a bluetooth RS232 dongle to end frequencies from SD to a radio installed in a licensed aircraft?

Not yet but soon in the New Year. I intend to use a cable out of the back of the GNS430 that ends in a D type connector on the instrument panel. Therefore no permanent connection. Can’t see a problem with that?

Can you use a bluetooth dongle with 430 / 530 and SD for radio frequency selection ?  Does it definitely work?

Slightly different question on Bluetooth to RS232.  Have a BT578 dongle to transmit Skydemon track data to Dynon HS34 nav controller driving a D180 autopilot in RV-8.  Can the dongle be left permanantly on and still function (so it can be mounted behind the panel)?
I have not investigated the Dynon set-up requirements yet.

Little confused. If you run on its internal power then it won't last long before needing to be recharged. I assume you are powering externally in which case you will doubtless have it wired to some switch (perhaps same as the Dynon?) so the BT578 is only receiving external power when in use. This is fine.

Hello, can anyone help me with the autopilot settings between SkyDemon via the Irxon BT578V3 adapter and the TruTrak Vizion 385R autopilot of my Dynamic WT9? Everything is installed correctly and the autopilot is receiving commands from SkyDemon through the Irxon, but it does not follow the route precisely — it overshoots and weaves in wide turns over the magenta line, and circles around a waypoint instead of flying over it.
At the moment, I have SkyDemon sending only GPRMC, GPRMB, GPBOD & GPAPB sentences to the autopilot, but I would also like to know the recommended autopilot settings, such as the Lateral Setup values: GPSS GAIN, LAT ACTIVITY, BANK ANGLE, MICROACTIVITY, ROLL REV — and the Vertical Setup values: VRT ACTIVITY, PITCH REV, STATIC LA, & MICROACTIVITY.
Can anyone share these settings or give me tips on how to have my autopilot fly the route from SkyDemon smoothly?
