Hi

Anyone using the device on a Mac, how did you connect it? My mac doesn't even recognise it as a mass storage device. Have installed active sync on parallel, no joy either.

On a Mac, you just need to set the device to present itself as a USB mass storage device (like a memory stick). It will then appear in the filesystem, again just like a USB memory stick, and from SkyDemon Web you can sync with it by simply saving a file to it.

The device is already set like a mass storage.

Works well on a PC or on a Mac booted with Windows 7 via BootCamp but does not works with Parallels or VirtualBox softwares.

We need more detail than "does not work" if we are to help. You don't need to run Parallels on a Mac; SkyDemon Web works on Macs running OSX and our Mobile MD device can be synced to directly from this configuration, no emulation needed.

Simply does not appair like a disk. Problem shows in Windows (only VirtualBox/Paralles virtualization) or in Mac OSX for use with SkyDemon Web.

I think that is a problem of all Mio devices.

The reason it didn't work was that USB wasn't turned on in Parallel (I had turned it off because I was tired of being asked every time if I wanted the device to connect to Windiws or Mac). To turn it on you need your virtual machine to be turned off.

Then you should install ActiveSync, and then connect your MD in ActiveSync mode.



If you want to connect to your mac you do need it in Mass storage. But I still use the desktop version as I have my aircraft configs on it, and also I'm not always connected to the Internet.
