Hello Aviators,

I am looking for a dynamic "Direct to" with the magenta vector map that is continuously at my position. Thank you

Best regards,

Frederic

Could you explain a little more about why you want this feature and exactly what problem it solves? Thanks!

I believe he is asking for a dynamic heading line which is moving with the aircraft position. I have seen this in other EFBs.

A line constantly drawn from your current position to a given waypoint? Why?

Flying a bearing (aka. homing) instead of a heading is not completely unusual although even when flying such a bearing you may never arrive at this waypoint if you ignore wind conditions.

I would have thought using the 'Track waypoint' feature on the Waypoint/Airfield routing popup would have done the job.

No magenta line to follow, but it gives you continuously updated distance and magnetic track to/from the selected point.

If you are avoiding weather and the deviation taken is large enough to remove the originally planned track from your display - see attached log from sometime ago - the planned route was direct to Hinderclay but the diversion around weather was considerable..... It also would assist to visualize a way through the weather.

Ok, I understand that's a big deviation. As others have said though, the DI instrument at the bottom shows you the track to fly, and the trajectory line coming from the front of your on-screen aircraft should be a great indicator that you're on track towards anywhere.

To clarify, you'd still like an "extra" magenta line or similar from your position to the next waypoint in addition to the things mentioned above?
