You can see observed or forecast wind at an airfield in the Weather tab, or by first going to the airfield in the Airfields tab.

Hi, i like only to see the wind speed from Metar or TAF Weather data.
It's a nice support to see this.

Greetings Markus

Markus,

They're just displaying precipitation radar. SkyDemon can do the same. Just turn it on!

It sounds like you might benefit from reading our manual. Flyable Conditions is a forecast product based on cloudbase and visibility, and it explicitly tells you that it does not include rain or storms (or lightning). Also, since it is a forecast, it is unsurprising that it doesn't match 100% with reality.

The screenshots you're showing of the Garmin product are showing a precipitation radar, which SkyDemon also includes. Just use that instead of Flyable Conditions if that's what you want.

Hi Tim..
why can foreflight and Garmin depict the real weather with lightning?
I only fly with skydemon. I just tried Garmin and foreflight out of interest and curiosity. and some functions I find great and wish that skydemon can also depict these.

have a nice day
greetings Markus

I like SkyDemon, for VFR planning there is no better program.
But the function flyable and weather do not match 100% with reality.
And for thunderstorms, you only see a rain cloud.
But no lightning symbols. A rain cloud and a thunderstorm is a big difference.
When I select the function flyable and weather it is sometimes difficult to distinguish where the cloud borders are.
This should be improved a bit. GARMIN Pilot has solved this problem very well.
Would it be feasible if SkyDemon could also use this graphical interface?

Greetings Markus
