Hey all,
Due to this catastrophic flood in western Germany, DFS has published a NOTAM for a temporary ED-R.
DFS - ED-R Bad Neuenahr
I noticed, that SD is displaying temporary ED-R / NOTAMs always as a circle (first picture NOTAM1) and I got used to it - but:
In fact the activated ED-R does have a different look/lateral borders (second picture NOTAM2).

First, when looking into SD I assumed that all in and outbound flights to EDKB are prohibited, but they aren’t.
I would find it stunning when in future SD updates the program may display the activated restrictions as they are laterally published. 🙂 So, no “circle” anymore!

What do you think?

Cheers
Flo

EDIT: hope this is the correct forum section OSmile If not, please move it

This still isn’t fixed and very sad for all pilots using SkyDemon in Germany. The coordinates are shown as yellow X when selecting the NOTAM, but the ED-R itself is still shown as a circle. It’s not clear for anyone at all, at the moment. Please fix this issue as soon as possible. Other apps show the information correct!

OHHHH... now I know what the yellow Xs are for!!!    To be honest...I was a bit confused  -.-
Thanks!!!   But anyway... should be implemented^^    I do not have brain capacity in flight to draw imaginary straight lines to identifiy ED-R boundaries Smile

FYI: As a workaround you can use the data creator tool to build your own airspaces.

Ehrm... guys.
Just opened my SD and the ED-R is shown as it should be.

Could you doublecheck please?!
Did s.o. change s.th. withing SkyDemon tool right now?
Was some configuration changed?
Seems to be...working; but don't know why...

NOTAM information is now missing, but the lateral borders are correct... strange BigGrin

Some NOTAMs, when published in a nonstandard format, require manual intervention from SkyDemon staff before they are decoded in our charts. In the meantime, you've got the full circle of influence and the tools to visualise its extent yourself, with all coordinates being hyperlinks and also drawn as crosses when you "view on map".

We spoke to DFS about this and they republished the NOTAM in a standard format, which SkyDemon was able to interpret and display without any manual intervention.
