I tried FS20ToGDL90 as suggested and that worked.

I also went for SimNaviR which works great connecting to my iPad. I'm curious to know, as traffic data is shown and it's not in x-plane mode will people IRL see my plane?

Just a heads-up:

Today's MSFS 2020 update to version 1.7.14.0 fixed a bug with SimConnect and it is now possible to connect SkyDemon to MSFS 2020 for free by:
- install and run FSUIPC 7 beta
- in FSUIPC 7 beta options tab enable GPS out
- install and run FlightSimGPS
- set up a flight in MSFS 2020
- launch SkyDemon - go to Fly and select Use X-Plane

Et voilà!

Milan

Thanks, worked for me...

For GPS and traffic information good solution is SimNaviR from SimMarket. Also Demo Version available

You could also check out FS20ToGDL90 on the Microsoft Store. It gives you traffic too.

I have tried this with Xmapsy, it connects to Skydemon with no problems whatsoever and is very smooth.  Admittedly it is payware but only the equivalent price of a round of drinks.

The only problem I have encountered, is Microsoft in its wisdom has only enabled *.pln files to be imported as MSFS flight plans.  As Skydemon does not 'yet' allow flight plans to be saved in this format, we are unable to create a flight plan within Skydemon and use it with MSFS.

I feel in the future a great many MSFS users will be using this Microsoft Flight Simulator as a step into real world flying or practicing RW flying trips they intend to take.   Admittedly the current Garmin GPS software within MSFS is at a very elementary level, but hopefully things will change within the not to distant future and it would be great if Skydemon could benefit in sales from this new enterprise.

Glen

SkyDemon can export a .fpl file via the "Share" option and an email to yourself. You can open the .fpl in Little Navmap and export from there to .pln and into msfs

Hi,

I’m have issues connecting my iPad to fs2020.. I got the MSFS Bridge sice its obviously working for everyone.

I have followed the “iPad iOS 4.1” manual in the install file.

The sim is up and running, on the airfield. Fired up the SD with FLARM - Go flying. It says Connecting to device.

Second attempt I renamed the file to ipconfig and entered the IP address to my ipad.

Both iPad and pc on the same network

The sim is up and running and the Bridge says it’s OK and broadcasting to the iPad IP.

Then I go to iPad and select Local network and toggle the Demon Sky to Off.

Then I start DS and toggle the FLARM. - Then I select “Go fly” and it just says Connecting to Device.

I have tried to turn on / off computer and iPad and have tried this many times. Both with iPhone and iPad, same result.

What I’m a missing here =) Thanks

Well, I "fixed" it thanks to the support of the developer. There's a file called "ip_config_sample.txt" in the same folder as MSFSBridge, which you have to rename (remove "_sample") and change the IP address inside to that of the mobile device on your network. It worked for me afterwards.
