Hi,
first of all thank you very much for your great work!

In the area of saarbruecken is a RA(T) shown on the map with a red circle. It refers to the France AIP SUP 342/19.
As you can see here:
This area is only in france. On the skydemon-map this area is also shown in the german airspace - that is imho not correct .
Best regards
Johannes

That circle is not the restricted area. It is the ‘radius of influence’ as defined by the issuer of the NOTAM and contained in the Q-line in the NOTAM itself.

Never, ever assume that the circle for a NOTAM drawn on the chart is the actual airspace affected. You should always study the detail, which in this case is an AIC. It would be too much to expect SkyDemon to parse every AIC and try and accurately draw the detail every time.

Skydemon red circles show the 'area of interest' from the NOTAM, not the geographical location. I too was confused by this several times in the past, but the usual answer is: 'you have to read and understand the NOTAM anyways' = just looking at the map is not enough, the way Skydemon works right now.

Hello Johannes, you are of course completely correct that the NOTAM doesn't apply outside of France. However as others have said, the drawing of NOTAM on the map is no substitute for actually reading its contents and can never be perfect due to the nature of the NOTAM system. So from time to time you'll see a little more extent than necessary for a NOTAM on the map, which is erring on the safe side.
