Although it's fairly easy to save two different routes, one with a crossing and one with a diversion, most people simply take advantage of the ease with which one can alter one's route on the go in SkyDemon. With a few touches on the map to unlock and then dogleg the route, you can quickly replan to go around an area of controlled airspace. What some people do is to plan around it and then use the "take shortcut" functionality to replan through it if they get a clearance, but you're absolutely correct that this method adds to the time, distance and fuel calculations of the main route. Some have suggested a mean-spirited of storing two different potential sub-routes, which would be a technically perfect solution but we think that would be overly complicated for a product that's all about simplicity of use.
