Hi Tim, Hi world,

i am very happy, that the ED-R150 is now integrated in the Skydemon-charts. That is really great improvement.
Would it be possible to name each leg of the ED-R150 with the name of the endpoints like EDR150JE1KE1 ?
That would simplify the process of cross-checking NOTAMS, which announce activity of the EDR150

Thanks and best regards,
Florian

Would it be possible to include the timings when these areas might be active?
According to the AIP it's not necessary to scare people with them during the weekend - for example:

I confirm EDR150 will be included in next week's chart update for Germany.

Interesting! No, I wasn't aware of that. We embarked upon doing the same thing once, but it was impossible to verify our work because what you get when you precisely follow the instructions for creating the airspace is (if I recall correctly) a bit different to how the airspace appears on existing charts.

Hi,
thank's for your update ...
Just for interest: Are you aware that these guys here made a custom data implementation of the ED-R150: https://discovering-eagle.org/software-i-use/downloads/german-military-night-low-flying-system-ed-r150
So basically, the data can be extracted, however it is a manual step - something that the Skydemon team could do as well?
Regards,
Florian

Their response:

unfortunately I do not have any news for you.

I stressed the issue in the last summer.
The MIL colleagues are responsible for the design and the upload of ED-R150 to EAD.

Currently the restricted area is (DFS internal) available as DGN-File only and not depictable in a structured database format.

A complete redesign has to be done in order to depict this area in a database and the MIL colleagues do not have the resources to do that.
And we (DFS) do not have any influence on that.

This situation is not satisfying but obviously we have to live with that …

I will check with DFS whether they are any closer to agreeing a formal definition for this airspace.

Same here ...
I'd love to see the NFLS in Skydemon as this in fact will considerably elevate the awareness for these RESTRICTED areas. (No fun entering them by mistake).
Any update on this one?
Cheers,
Florian

Thanks for posting their answer here, Tim.
It seems to be an issue that has to be discussed in the forum of German airspace experts since it involves all small aircraft operations after sunset. I informed them about this matter.
Once again thanks for all your efforts!
Best, Björn
