Helipaddy are about to release a Skydemon > Garmin flight plan converter app.  This takes a SkyDemon .flightplan file and opens it up in Garmin Pilot, so the whole process happens on mobile.  Then you send the Flightplan to your avionics in the cockpit with FlightStream.

Helipaddy have already released a feature that lets you store unlimited waypoints on Helipaddy for free.  You can then export these to Garmin Pilot, Garmin Aera, Garmin GTN series and SkyDemon.

Email support@helipaddy.com for details.

Positive action required here. I have a FS210 and GNS530W. I can’t think of a better way but I’ve been to Garmin Support to the FlightStream 210 product and left the feedback pleading for a SkyDemon interface, even if it’s just exporting / importing flight plans. (That would be a start)... they’ve allowed Forelflight, and I think allowing SD would enable them to sell a lot more kit to people like me who was on the fence before buying and it still isn’t quite right. But with SD interface it’d be a no brainer to get the GTN kit..... Thanks.

As we have mentioned on here many times, it is Garmin who are unwilling to work with us.

I know Garmin want to force using their solutions...but is Foreflight a (unusable in Europe) Garmin product ?

And Garmin Pilot is really bad (to me). Although I'm a Flighstream/GNS system user, I won't renew my GP subscription, except if a basic subscription could allow a link to something else, like SD.‌ Is it impossible to imagine this kind of solution ?

You might have more luck asking Garmin. We're not Garmin experts.

Garmin are at present not willing to interface their Flightstream product with SkyDemon.

Will Flightstream feed GPS data to my iPad when I connect via Bluetooth?

Hi,

I'd like to suggest support for Garmin's flightstream product in terms of outputting a flight plan and perhaps even AHRS data input. GNS 430/530s are everywhere in GA and GTN 650/750s are starting to appear now. This would certainly be a very useful, timesaving feature. I can also see good business reasons for it too.

Many thanks,
George
