NATS uses the EAD system. You can add extra aerodromes to it if you wish, but by default you just get your takeoff and landing aerodromes back. People complain enough as it is about the unnecessary amount of NOTAM in European briefings, so we don't wish to add to that.

We won't be adding enroute aerodromes to the results returned from a narrow-route brief, but the new Airfields tab may well be extended to show NOTAM too, so if that happens it'll be easier to have a quick view of the NOTAM for any airfield. You can do this already from the Aerodrome Information screen if you wish.

After a bit of internet research, it seems there is no standard way of handling NOTAMS in a narrow route briefings. Some, as e.g., NATS, will only include your departure and destination airports along with any defined alternates. That's how SD does it now. However, other flight planning tools providers explicitly include NOTAMS for every airport inside the route corridor as, e.g., EAD at Eurocontrol does.

Personally, I would prefer my narrow route briefing to include NOTAMS for every airport within my route corridor.

Sorry, that's simply not the way NOTAM narrow-route briefings work (in general, not just in SkyDemon).

I think I get the disconnect Smile

If a waypoint is an airport then (say in case of engine failure), it might be good to know that runway xxx of that airport is closed or that radio frequency yyy is not available.
Or again if there is an airspace restriction due to a military exercise then that would be good to know.

There are more but I hope this is clearer: the fact I do not intend to land at a waypoint does not mean I do not have interest in its potentially associated NOTAM.

Regards,
Philippe

Sorry, I don't understand what you're getting at. When you print your NOTAM brief, what you're printing is the same as is shown in the NOTAMs window. It should not included NOTAM for an airfield you're not landing at.

I meant the NOTAMS on the flight plan. i.e; KRHV->KSJC->KHWD.

My point is to print it and go fly with it.

I thought the scope of the print center was the flight plan.

... would be a cool feature.

Philippe

All NOTAMs in the world?

No, when you go to print your NOTAM brief, what you're seeing (or should be seeing) is the same as in the NOTAM window, which is your narrow-route NOTAM brief. You certainly should not see aerodrome-scoped NOTAM for airfields you are neither taking off from nor landing at.

Hi,

Fair enough, but shouldn't I expect a summary of all NOTAMS in the "Print Center/NOTAM Brief"?
It seems to be the case for "Print Center/Weather Brief".

Philippe

If you're neither taking off from nor landing at an airfield, it is correct that its aerodrome-scope NOTAM are not shown in your briefing.
