I understand. I read the postings on Flyer Forum after I had posed my question.....

I thought those large radius NOTAMS were centered on the "conflict" areas but it looks like they aren't.

It would be a huge mistake to remove all large-radius NOTAM from your briefing. Occasionally there are very important ones, and of course, your definition of very important might differ from others'.

So there is nothing in the format line which could be used as an indication of wide area coverage, so likely not of interest to VFR pilots?
I notice the same thing happens when I plot a local, VFR, narrow route brief using the AIS website.....

Those are UK NOTAM, so (unfortunately) it is correct that they appear for a flight planned in the UK. I believe the UK authorities are planning to replace them with one NOTAM starting in March.

Tony,

Slide them to the right in the Notam window and they disappear. To bring them back tap 'unhide' in the Notam window.

Best regards

Web based SD
I am sure this has been discussed before (can't find the thread), but is there any way to filter out the "Overflying Information" NOTAMS for Yemen, Egypt etc.
It's a bit tedious to have to keep going through all these each time to get to local NOTAMS which may be of more interest.
Why do they come up first in the NOTAM list?
