Android on Samsung Galaxy.
I was on a cross country flight on Saturday with my planned route taking me clear (by a few miles) of South Cerney.
In flight I was surprised to see that nothing was shown on SD for the airfield other than, I believe, a circle popping up for a short period, probably depicting an activity.
When back at home I checked my SD settings and noticed that I had "Sporting Activity" unchecked. When selecting this option then SD displayed the symbol for "parachuting and hang-gliding" at South Cerney.
I wasn't aware of the significance of the category "Sporting Activity" in SD and could have accidentally flown right overhead South Cerney, had I not planned using a paper chart.

What I find strange is that, on the UK 1:500000 printed chart, South Cerney is depicted as a Government airfield with parachuting activity.
Shouldn't SD also depict South Cerney as an airfield?

I'll ask my colleague if we can get it added as an airfield, I'm sure we can.
The UK AIP notifies it as a parachute dropzone and hang-gliding site, so those are the associated symbols displayed in SkyDemon. We do allow you to turn off various types of airspace in SkyDemon but I wouldn't necessarily recommend doing so unless you have a very specific reason.

I have now enabled the display of all types of airspace on my device but do think showing South Cerney as an airfield would be a good move.
I believe in the past that this area has been a bit of a hot spot for over flight infringements.

My colleague confirmed to me this morning that we will show the airfield itself (as well as sporting activities originating from it) in the next chart update, scheduled for 23rd July.
