There is currently a public beta for our Android and PC products. SkyDemon 3.3.2 contains the following changes:
Touching a leg temporarily reveals its distance, time and magnetic heading, and unlocks it for rubber-banding when navigating (iOS, Android, PC) Improvements to flight log analysis makes it possible to intuitively review the statitics in detail by dragging the aircraft (iOS, Android) There is now an in-app tool to automatically download the UK Postcode file if you search for one and the file isn't there (iOS, Android, PC) Legibility improvements to the display of other traffic received via Flarm and ADS/B devices (iOS, Android, PC) It is now possible to use the "Land Here" functionality at user waypoints (iOS, Android, PC) Alongside Sunrise and Sunset we now also show MCT and ECT, as the start and end of civil twilight (iOS, Android, PC) The "What's Here?" menu has been improved to split airspaces away from other information making it more intuitive (iOS, Android) Searching for waypoints containing accented characters is now much easier as the accents are no longer required in search text (iOS, Android, PC) 64bit support added (iOS)

I love the attention to detail! On short legs, in planning mode, the touch popup shows the distance, while in flying mode, it shows the bearing. Perfect!

Hi Tim,
I've been playing with the new Beta for a few days and can't break it (Android & PC). Great stuff.
One problem I have (not new to this beta) is that viewing the live PLOG on Android and scrolling down into the frequencies section then after a few seconds the display jumps back to the top of the PLOG. This is inconvenient when I have frequencies displayed ready for the next QSY and look down to find that they are no longer visible.

Tim Dawson (6/30/2015) Thanks, we will add some code to work around that.I've just noticed this also happens (on Android) when viewing the PLOG from the planning screen as well as the live PLOG. Simon

The beta has been updated, with the following additions: The TAF and METAR briefing can now be sorted by distance along route as well as alphabetically (iOS, Android, PC) The addition of a Help menu facilitates easy access to the User Guide (iOS, Android)

I have just updated the beta again, with the following changes:
Dynon SkyView integration is enabled. To use it, specify that you have a SkyView under the Setup -> Connectivity menu. You will then be offered the opportunity to use the SkyView when you press Go Flying. The SkyView will then be the source for your GPS data, and there will be an option under the Route menu called "Send to Dynon SkyView" which will instantly transfer your route to the SkyView. Obviously, all this requires that your SkyView is equipped with the Wifi dongle option and your Android device is connected to the SkyView's Wifi hotspot.
This feature should be regarded as a prototype and we will not necessarily include it in the next version of SkyDemon. We do want your feedback on it, though.

I had a CTD here and there on my TabPro using the two new betas. I can reproduce the crash by opening the 'What is here?' window on a specific point and get the information about the airspace. SD will crash immediately or by zooming in or out. Version 3.3.1 is running fine, though.

Spain POS VOR (Mallorca) tap nearby - What is here window shows waypoints. Taping on the waypoints (coordinates or create waypoint) worked fine - closing window by taping aside included. Choosing an item under airspace & closing the window gives you an immediate CTD or after closing followed by a pinch to zoom. Worked elsewhere, but that´s the one I could remember.
thx

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this. Do you have the log output from when the crash occurs?
Can anybody else reproduce this?

I can't see any crash logs from your account. That probably means it's not something we can pick up from inside the app, though I can't imagine what that might be. I think you need the Android debugging tools installed on your PC to view the logcat output, which is where details of all crashes from all software appear when they happen.

Mike@EDTG Just a thought – are your various devices running the same version of Android? If not, then that might the culprit.

hello,
I have a RV7 A with Dynon Skyview and use pocketfms to update the aviation and obstacle data. Because skydemon is the best software for flightplaning with the best charts, I wish that in the near future skydemon can export also the aeronatical data to Skyview. The new feature to connect skydemon via WiFi to Skyview is very useful.

Hello Tim, I have purchased the Skyview Wifi Dongle in Oshkosh and would be happy to try the beta version for I-OS. Would this be possible to add me as beta-tester? Thanks in advance
