So far SD has worked well on the PC. Today I noticed a strange behaviour: on larger scales than 1:1,000,000 (e.g.. 1.900,000), a lot of aeronautical detail vanishes and a big red X is drawn across the entire map. Zooming out beyond the 1:100,000,000 mark and the X disappears. However, at these scales some aeronautical detail is suppressed also because of the zoom level.

This problem has occurred out of the blue. I didn't update SD. I tried to fix this by updating the maps but that didn't help either.

That happens if there is an exception while drawing the map. Could you try to reproduce it now, please, and if it happens, email me with the timestamp? I will then be able to check our exception reporting system which should have received the details. It could be a corrupted chart.

Anyway, here is the informaiton I tried to send you:

A tried it at 14:46 UTC and got the described red cross over the entire map extent.
The cross appears only if the map scale is larger than 1.1,000,000. As soon as I zoom out beyond that limit, there seem to be fewer details drawn on the map and the error doesn't occur.
