In what way is it misleading?

                   that does  seem to make the waypoint creation dialogue a little mis-leading .   I've located the Custom Data section, so hopefully the problem will be solved.

You cannot create a user waypoint "as an airfield". User waypoints are user waypoints.
There does exist an advanced tool with which you can actually create airfields and other aeronautical data; it's bundled with SkyDemon Plan and once your data has been created on a PC it can be shared to mobile devices via the cloud. This might offer you a better solution. Alternatively, if the airfield owner is happy for us to do so, we can add it to our charts.

I'm using SD 3.1.0.0 on Windows 7 PC   , also on iPad mini.  When I create a user waypoint as an airfield it does not seem to be recognised as an airfield in a multi-sector route ; ie I am not offered the Land Here option.   Is this a system fault , or is there something else that I need to do ?
