You can't have two files with the same name on your device, the filesystem will not allow it, so not sure what's going on here. Can I see a screenshot of what it looks like afterwards and some exact steps so that I can attempt to reproduce it on the same device type?

Hi Tim,

The problem is that if I do not do the "deletion steps", I end up with two of the same route on my device with identical filenames.

I don't see any need for any deletion steps. If you change a route, save it to the cloud then load it from the cloud on your target device.

Hi Tim,

Could you confirm what I'm doing sounds reasonable and there isn't a quicker way to achieve this:

1.) I make a change to a route on iPad or PC
2.) I then save this route, with the latest changes, to the cloud, and delete the old version that was on the cloud
3.) I then redownload the "latest version" of the route from the cloud to whichever device (be it iPad or PC), and delete the old version of the route from the device

I have to do this every time I make a change on one device. Whilst I obviously do not purposely make massive changes on a regular basis to routes, I do like to refine the routes if I find that a particular routing or route section did not work out too well, and this procedure seems a little long-winded.

The cloud is indeed the easiest way to get a route from one device to another when it's between PC and iPad. You can't do it in bulk, though.

Ahh shows what I know!

Is there any way for iPads to sync with the PC version? I am currently having to save my files in the cloud, delete the file in the device, and then redownload the latest version of the file from the cloud in order to ensure all routes are of the same version across all of my devices.

What you're asking is not possible. WMDC is for Windows CE devices, not iPads.

Hello all,

I appreciate this particular problem is not directly a Skydemon issue, but I assume many on the forum have managed to configure WMDC.

I want to be able to use the "sync" function in Skydemon. However, after downloading and installing WMDC, I connect my iPad, and WMDC refuses to recognise it under any circumstances. I have done all the obvious things including restarting WMDC with the iPad plugged in, restart PC, etc. The iPad is most certainly not in "Airplane Mode" or similar and so I would have thought that networking would not be a problem.

Regards,

Jack
