Airspace crossing when leg altitude is the same as lower airspace limit

Hello!

Wenn planning a route at an altitude below an airspace which is exactly the lower limit of the airspace above I get a message that i will cross this airspace. For example, when planning a leg on 4500 ft and there is a class D airspace above from 4500 ft up I get this message. Would it be possible to fix this so that this will not be shown?

Thanks,
Bernhard.

You say "fix" as if the behaviour is currently broken. There is an inconsistency in many countries' interpretation of the rules regarding flying at "exactly" the lower limit of a block of airspace. Some consider you to be within the airspace, some consider you to be outside it. We play it safe and consider you inside it.

Ah, ok. That sounds good for me (didn't know about other countries and to be honest I am not sure how it works here in Austria) and I will do a simple workaround by planning xx99 ft altitudes. This also reminds me on the printed log that there is an airspace above Wink

Thanks,
Bernhard.

Why would you plan to fly exactly on the boundary?

I know that if I intend on passing under some airspace - at say 4500 feet, I'll plan for 4000.
