Yes, that is correct, the log format has changed. Older versions (prior to 3.0.6 I believe) will not be able to read flight logs created with 3.0.6+.

Just upgraded my SD on the Nexus 7 to 3.0.7 and had a flight today. Afterwards I backed up the log to the Cloud. When I got back home, I tried to open it from the Cloud on my backup device - an iPad 1 running 3.0.3 for iOS.
It failed with the message 'Input string was not in the correct format'
Do I assume that as SD gets updated the format of logs has also changed and will no longer be usable on older iPads that no longer receive version updates?
