Hi

I got the same issue and confirm that the issue is due to an undocumented <speed> element used in the Skydemon files.
Some application do simply ignore undocumented elements, but Basecamp is strictly checking the GPX-file according to the official xsi:schema "http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1/gpx.xsd".
This schema is mentioned in the GPX-file exported by Skydemon, but Skydemon does not comply to it.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<gpx xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1 http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1/gpx.xsd" version="1.1" creator="SkyDemon for iPad" xmlns="http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1">
<trk>
  <name>Thun - Thun</name>
  <trkseg>
  <trkpt lat="46.752890" lon="7.589792">
   <ele>1022.6650</ele>
   <speed>56.074445</speed>
   <time>2014-06-22T15:13:03Z</time>
  </trkpt>

I tried as a workaround to use another element type using <cmt> (comment), but this doesn't work since the official xsi:schema defines the exact order of the elements. A comment <cmt> must be place after the <time> element and not between <ele> and <time>.

In that case we have to wait for Skydemon to fix this in another software version.

Regards, Eric

I think I found the error, Garmin BaseCamp does not handle logfiles with speed information in the log file

Hi, I have exported (email) my flightlog from Ipad and want to import this into Garmin BaseCamp. I try to import several logfiles, but get an error message from Garmin Base Camp "unknown error opening import file".

The file is a .gpx file which is supported by Base Camp.

Do anyone have any suggestions or have tried to do this?
