Hello,

since I use the last version of SKYDEMON and IOS 7,I got a lot of unexplainable system crashes during flight operation.
A system crash occurs sporadically during zooming.
A further problem is the indication of the correct elevation data.
It shows you always a difference of round about more than 600 feet.
The elevation is not steady, but jumps always up and down.
Restarting the system, does not solve the problem
(also if you don't make any action, the application crashes).
The GPS signal quality is always good.
The indicated ground speed is also accurate.
For a better understanding of this problem, I have attached a little video

Best regards,

Hello,

If you are experiencing crashes within SkyDemon on an iOS device, please obtain the crash logs and send them to us at support@skydemon.aero. Once we have the crash logs we should be able to see exactly what the problem is on your device, and hopefully fix it. There are instructions for obtaining crash logs from iOS devices at the link below. They apply to a different product, but it's the same process with SkyDemon.

http://www.chromium.org/developers/how-tos/retrieving-crash-reports-on-ios

Regarding the altitude bug you reported, we simply show the altitude as reported by your GPS chipset. It is not modified in any way by SkyDemon.

Thanks,

Tim Dawson

Hello Tim

Thank you very much for your quick reply regarding the altitude bug.

Even if you use the output altitude info of my GPS, there is still the question, why do I get

a correct altitude indication when I use different systems together with my GPS

?? Something must be wrong?? Do you agree??

Many thanks in advance for your help

Best regards,

Matthias

SkyDemon will not give you a different altitude report than other systems, unless those other systems manipulate the output figure. To be sure, download GPS Device Data (a free app) which will show you exactly what your GPS device is sending to apps.
