Group: Moderators Posts: 593, Visits: 4.9K	I can't replicate this. The most likely cause is low memory on your device - what apps are you switching to? Does it do it straight after a reboot? Go to Settings > General > About > Diagnostics & Usage > Diagnostics & Usage Data See if you have any 'LowMemory' entries - I expect you will find some. iPad 2 and iPad Mini (non retina) have 512MB of RAM - it's easy to exhaust this if you open loads of memory hungry apps. I always recommend that if you are using an iPad in flight, you should restart it before you set off, and only launch the essential apps.

When switching between apps on iOS 7.1 (but already appeared with iOS 7.x) SD always restarts and did not keep it's status. This is really annoying. When e.g. googling for some airport infos and switching back to SD I have to agree that SD is not for navigation purpose and then it starts with my last route and I have again seeking for some things where I left the app before? Please check the "multitasking" ability. Using iOS 7.1 and the latest SD version 3.0.5. Thanks, joseffe
