for me it works at it should. Have you tried to delete the timer as you would delete other things on your iPad? (Swipe with your finger from right to left over the item and then press delete on the appearing button)

I created a persistent timer in SD for iPad and dont't know how to disable it. I can change the values but can't remove it. Looks like a bug. Thanks for your help!
