Hello,
Will the flight plan generator be updated with the new flight plan symantic, active as of November 15th?

Note that copying FP data generated by Skydemon 2.4.3 into the test application found at EuroControl still gives errors.

More over, according the latest circulars (related to the global flight plan changes) the NAV/COM types mentioned below can be selected under item 10 of the ICAO flight plan. Lots of them are not available in Skydemon.
PS: besides specific NAV-COM equipment like VFR radio, I notice most VFR pilots simply enter S for ´Standard´ which is also not available in Skydemon.

Will this be corrected?

Item 10: equipment and capabilities
Numerous changes have been made to this provision. It is important to note that item 10 now also indicates capabilities, which consists
of three elements: presence of relevant serviceable equipment on board the aircraft; equipment and capabilities commensurate with flight
crew qualifications; and, where applicable, authorisation from the appropriate authority.
The following provisions are applicable to item 10a (radio communication, navigation and approach aid equipment and capabilities).
Insert one letter as follows:
N if no COM/NAV/approach aid equipment for the route to be flown is carried, or the equipment is unserviceable, or
S if standard COM/NAV/approach aid equipment for the route to be flown is carried and serviceable (see Note 1), and/or
insert one or more of the following letters to indicate the serviceable COM/NAV/approach aid equipment and capabilities
available:
A GBAS landing system J7 CPDLC FANS 1/A SATCOM (Iridium)
B LPV (APV with SBAS) K MLS
C LORAN C L ILS

prescribed by the appropriate ATS authority.
2) If the letter G is used, the types of external GNSS augmentation, if any, are specified in item 18 following the indicator

4) If the letter R is used, the performance based navigation levels that can be met shall be specified in item 18 following
the indicator PBN/. Guidance material on the application of performance based navigation to a specific route segment,
route or area is contained in the Performance Based Navigation Manual (Doc 9613).
5) If the letter Z is used, specify in item 18 the other equipment carried or other capabilities, preceded by NAV/, COM/, and/or

SkyDemon 2.4.6, released today, contains the new NAV/COM equipment codes to be compatible with the FPL 2012 changes. Other aspects of our flightplan generation engine were already compliant.

There is no benefit to specifing "S" for standard equipment in SkyDemon, you just pick what you have and don't have to worry about what is included in "standard" equipment. SkyDemon will convert your selections to an "S" where appropriate.

Tim, Any chance of updating the "Larest News" Section in the Homepage when an early opportunity arises so that the community of flyers are all advised of the latest release? Many thanks to all members of the SD Team.

On a different note can the SD Team advise as to when subscribers can update their iPAD SD safely. I myself has been holding out, considering the bugs encountered in the version released a few weeks ago.

Thanks Steve. Would it be appropriate to add this bit of info eg: Stable with the description in the SD Home page or subsequent descriptive page?
Thanks again.
