I have been using the IPad version over the last few days and trying out as many functions as I can find.
Overall my experience has been excellent - whenever you think "I wonder if it does that", it seems to perform pretty much everything I wanted it do do, and intuitively.

The only thing I would like to see is a (planned) heading indicator being a selectable field at the top of the screen alongside track, GS etc.

I have been using the IPad on a kneepad with a fold-over clipboard which leaves the top inch or so of the screen visible, gives you some writing space and keeps greasy hands away from the screen... OK, I can bug the planned heading in the aircraft DI/HSI or lift the kneepad cover to look at the SD HSI or Log, so it's a small point but to my mind it's a good way to keep flying heading/time without getting tempted to follow the magenta line.

We've added the track-to-next-waypoint readout to the DI ready for the forthcoming 2.4 version.

Tim,
I usually use the iPad version iN North Up in landscape mode but am experiementing with a new panel mount that dictates a portraid view. Where is the track up option located?

Which way you have your iPad oriented doesn't change the way SD works?

To change the map orientation, whilst in navigation mode tap the SkyDemon orb at the top and then Chart. You'll see the different options in there (which are North Up, Track Up or Course Up)

To change the orientation in an iPad3, simply turn the iPad to the orientation you want and voila.
