If you're having trouble using your iPad in flight, you need to speak to Apple about it. The situation you describe where you're unable to use the touchscreen is very unusual and it sounds like there is something wrong with your device.
You can already share routes from your PC to your iPad, either by emailing them to yourself and opening them from the Mail app or by using iTunes document sharing to manage the SkyDemon Documents folder in any way you like.
