Any plans to include a chart for Bahamas in near future? - I can see the Islands when viewing Florida, but doesn't look like the airfields/airspace are included.



A last minute change of plan and access to a plane (from Florida) means that I may be going there for Christmas en famille.. Just assuming I can find some accommodation!

OK, so before I start reading the manual what are options for using Skydemon when in Bahamas if there are no charts?  Can I just add waypoints for the airfields that I may be interested in without any form of airspace?  There isn't much high ground or controlled airspace in the outer islands, so really just happy to use as a basic gps with headings, etas etc, but was hoping not to have to leave it at home!

Yes, you could quite well add the airfields and any other waypoints yourself if you wish. You could even create airspace definitions if you were so inclined; we ship our DataCreator tool with SkyDemon which allows you to create basic charts.

+1 for the Bahamas / Caribbean. I'm even willing to build the airspace on my own and beta-test it this spring - will be flying there 3 or 4 weeks in May.

It would have a huge audience in the US.

You could in theory create your own chart using the custom data tool, available from the setup menu in SkyDemon Plan. If you do this, please keep in touch with us directly by email as we'd be interested in your progress.

If I build my chart on the PC, there's no way I can transfer it to the iPad right? So I'd better build it under the iPad app directly?

There are no facilities on SkyDemon for iPad for chart creation.

Hmm. So - is there any way I could upload the hand-made additions to the airspace into a mobile device so i can test them in-flight as it were?
