The aircraft profiles take TAS. However this is a function of temperature and altitude. Should the profile not work off IAS instead?

I cruise my fixed pitch prop aircraft to a given TAS for the task in hand (generally one for VFR bimbling and a faster one for airways IFR) helped by the fact that my avionics fit displays it. As a result I want my SD aircraft profiles to reflect that.

In the cruise settings you have the choice of TAS or IAS, and IAS is the only option for climb and descent.

so it does!

Does the IAS get automatically adjusted for TAS then in the PLOG

next question. If I’m planning in advance how do I set the temperature as well as wind/v for the PLOG to work properly.

I don’t know whether/how it takes temp into account when no forecast met data is available.

It doesn't. The conversion from IAS to TAS (where necessary) assumes ISA conditions.

By all means post one in the suggestions forum. It would mean ingesting forecast temperature data (at all altitudes flown) into SkyDemon whereas we don't currently have that, which probably puts it into the "not worth it for the added complexity" pile, but you never know.
