Is anyone able to confirm how SD calculates contingency fuel?

Reason I ask, I have 10% set in the aircraft profile for IFR, and if I set an Alternate, then it seems be calculating 10% of Cruise+Diversion.

Is this a fixed-wing thing? Most rotary ops manuals I have seen just calculate 10% of Cruise only. Is there a way to set it up for a Cruise only?

On another note, in the aircraft profile, the lowest value allowable for Holding Time is 10min. I would like the ability to set this to zero.

Cheers

If you have a need for specific difference in your company flying, please contact whoever your corporate license manager is here and they'll be able to collate it. We know companies have different needs to individuals using SkyDemon recreationally and we track issues such as these separately.

Hi Tim

Thanks. Just to be clear, I don't have a corporate licence as I'm a freelancer, so I have a personal subscription which 99% of the time suits my needs.

I do however work closely with a few operators who do have corporate licences for multiple pilots and I'm trying to educate them to be more proactive with their feedback to their respective corporate managers.

Unfortunately, a common theme among pilots is to talk about what they do or don't like but not actually do anything about it, can't blame them if they have better things to worry about.

I'm a big fan of SD and its improvements. And I'm more than happy to contribute feedback and suggestions on their behalf, even though it's through an unofficial channel.

Thanks
Pete
