Patrick SkyDemon is strictly for VFR use. Therefore I would not expect instrument charts to be included. -- Chris.

Yes they have been there for a long time, and they're still there for other countries. They seem to be missing this cycle. Although they're missing from the Autorouter.eu database as well so must be a change on the French side. Thankfully they're in Garmin Pilot ;-)

In contrast to the VAC, the IFR plates have to be available for free and they have been in SD for a long time. Looks as if somebody forgot the French one for the current cycle though. It says so on the welcome screen: "...This software is an aid to VFR flight planning and navigation..." There is nothing preventing you from using it during an IFR flight (or in the bathtub, if you're so inclined ). But you would be hard pressed to make an argument to Tim to commit to including and maintaining IFR charts/plates. -- Chris.

Chris, see above, the IFR plates have already been there for quite a long time. Yes, I know. Just saying that one shouldn't *expect* IFR plates to be part of SD. If they are present at some fields, so much the better. But don't count on it. -- Chris.

The French in their infinite wisdom have amalgamated their instrument plates into the "textual information" document in the Eurocontrol EAD system. So you'll find them all grouped together in that document.
Obviously this is something beyond our control, but we have already made both Eurocontrol and the French authorities aware of what a pain this will cause people who access French AIP documents through SkyDemon and Eurocontrol, and I believe the French stated that they plan to reverse this change sometime in the coming months.
Making representations to Eurocontrol or (better yet) to the French SIA would probably help.

You can download (for free) the ZIP EAIP COMPLET AIRAC XX/XX on the SIA site ( https://www.sia.aviation-civile.gouv.fr/produits-numeriques-en-libre-disposition/eaip.html) and get airport folders with a .pdf for EACH individal IFR plate (eAIP\FRANCE\AIRAC-2024-10-31\html\eAIP\Cartes\LFXX) Even AirMate, a free world wide app for pilots, proposes georeference IFR (SID, STAR, Appr) french plates. It's really a pitty not to have this oppotunity in SD, now that we have this amazing feauture to interface SK with an Auto Pilot. via BT. !

In fairness, my post that you were responding to was 8 years old.
Sadly in the intervening time, the French authorities are still not publishing their AD charts in separate documents via the Eurocontrol EAD database, which is the database that feeds into SkyDemon. However we have since implemented tools to incorporate documents from other sources, and since you pointed out there is a convenient eAIP download from the SIA incorporating the plates, I have created a tool to import them into SkyDemon.
Within a few hours you should see all these IAC plates in SkyDemon and within a few days we will have georeferenced them for use.
Thanks for letting us know!
